Anyway, if you're looking for work and you're qualified, then the county - despite Mayor Tim Burchett's insistence that layoffs are coming - has a job for you. Click here.
On a side note, the mayor did say that he wouldn't initiate a hiring freeze, and that crucial, or critical, or whatever, jobs that were vacant might get filled. I guess this one qualifies. And apparently fits the bill. Or bra. (OK, that was a bad joke.)
Also, the job is actually funded with a federal grant under the WIC program, according to county Communications Manager Michael Grider, who started doing damage control right after I initially made this post.
Still, it's your tax dollars. It's just not coming out of the county's budget. I hope.
