I meant to put this up the other day.
It's a post by the hippie over on Knoxviews.
And it's freakin' hilarious.
Well, you know. To me anyway.
Apparently, state Sen. Stacey Campfield doesn't want "Tennessee" by John R. Bean as a state song. Over on his blog he posted this, saying he wasn't going to vote on a song by Roy D. Mercer.
Uh, OK.
Whatever.
I know people make mistakes. I get that. So I can't fault the good senator for that one.
I figure the wrestling mask was on too tight. And he didn't hear the name correctly.
Again, R. Neal explains it better.
Let's call it what it is.
ReplyDeleteJohn Bean's sister, Betty Bean, has been one of Campfield's harshest critics his whole political career.
He cannot publicly say he's against the bill because he hates the guy's sister without sounding like a petty little whiner.
That's what this is about, and not much else.
Hmmmm. Good point.
