If you're just absolutely dying to run for one of the four open Knox County School Board seats, then you can pick up a nominating petition, beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, right next door to the Deathstar.
The non-partisan spots that are up for re-election are for the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th districts.
Candidates need 25 signatures from registered voters in their respective districts. That means you should probably get about 50 because half of your friends are probably not registered.
One more thing: To run for a school board seat you must have a high school diploma or a GED.
The qualifying deadline is set for noon Dec. 8.
The election is set for March 6.
