From the county mayor's office: Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett will host a special Food
Truck Friday event today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event
will take place downtown in Food Truck Zone 1 at 550 W Main Street, near the
Bank of America Building.
All three registered vendors in the City of Knoxville’s
Mobile Food Vendor Pilot Program will be participating in Food Truck Friday.
Participants include Forks on the Road, Savory & Sweet and Tootsie Truck.
Like other Lunch with the Mayor events, the public is
invited and elected officials may be in attendance. As always, attendees
will be responsible for purchasing their own meals.
The Mobile Food Vendor Pilot Program was established by the City of Knoxville in
April 2014 to allow mobile food vendors to operate in public rights-of-way and
on private property under certain guidelines. For more info about the program, click
