Burchett |
The event, which is open to the public, will be held on Aug.
17 at the veterans’ home from 1-4 p.m.
Burchett will host a
cookout and live music for resident veterans and members of the public.
Food for the cookout provided by Sam’s Club, and live
music provided by Ciderville Music.
In lieu of gifts for himself, Burchett asks the public
to bring gift cards of any amount from either Red Lobster, Shoney’s, Cracker
Barrel or Hooters restaurants.
Administrators at the veterans’ home say these
are many of the residents’ favorite places to eat, and the gift cards will help
ensure that they are able to continue enjoying meals outside the facility.
Attendees are also welcome to bring Visa/MasterCard gift cards or cards to
either Sam’s Club or Walmart for use on shopping trips and other activities for
the residents.
